Lynne Montesanto has served as the publisher of Boston Magazine since 2016, where she played a pivotal role in finding solutions to expand print revenue, creating digital products for audience engagement, and enhancing the profitability of the magazine’s renowned events.
Lynne began her career in advertising, specializing in media planning and strategy. As Group Media Director at Houston Effler Herstek Favat, she led the media team and was a key member of the new business development group, helping to grow the agency’s client portfolio. Her career took a transformative turn when she transitioned into advertising sales at Fast Company magazine, a successful publication for entrepreneurs and business innovators. After that, Lynne assumed the role of Multimedia Sales Director at The Wall Street Journal, managing the Boston office and focusing on the development of advertising programs for retail finance and insurance clients across New England and Eastern Canada, along with locally-based luxury brands.
A proud New Englander, Lynne grew up in Darien, CT before earning her degree from the University of New Hampshire. She raised her family in Lynnfield, MA and now resides in York, ME.
